StretchLab to Expand in Australia

Stretch boutique franchise StretchLab said it struck a master franchise agreement for at least 50 locations in Australia, marking the concept’s first expansion outside North America.

The Irvine company, part of Irvine-based fitness franchisor Xponential Fitness, said the first location in Australia is planned for Perth mid-2021.

The franchise deal was inked with Stretch X Operations Pty Ltd., which is made up of business owners that also have a master franchise agreement with Xponential for its CycleBar brand. Other franchisee partners include former Australian footballer Tory Dickson and cricket player James Pattinson.

The deal follows the opening of 35 StretchLabs in the U.S. in 2020, with the brand having opened 10 in the U.S. since the start of the year.
