Twenty fitness and wellness-related companies landed on Entrepreneur magazine’s Top New & Emerging Franchises list for 2022, led by five brands from Xponential Fitness.
Xponential’s brand StretchLab was the highest-ranking fitness-related brand on the list, coming in at No. 23. Its other brands ranked as follows: YogaSix at No. 26, Row House at No. 30, AKT at No. 65 and STRIDE at No. 144.
Entrepreneur bases its Top New and Fastest-Growing Franchise rankings on information submitted to Entrepreneur for its annual Franchise 500 and are part of the brand’s continuing effort to best understand and evaluate the ever-changing franchise marketplace, according to Entrepreneur magazine.
To qualify for inclusion on the 2022 list of Top New and Emerging Franchises, companies featured have been offering a franchise model for five years or fewer and were assessed across multiple data points, including unit growth, start-up costs and fees, training and support, the parent company's financial stability, and brand strength.
Last month, Entrepreneur released its Fastest-Growing Franchises list, which identified the franchise brands across the globe with the greatest unit growth over the last year. Xponential also had a good showing on that list with its brands StretchLab and YogaSix appearing there, too, along with Club Pilates at No. 69, YogaSix at No. 79, StretchLab at No. 98, and Pure Barre at No. 107.
Other brands representing the fitness and wellness industries on the Top New and Emerging Franchises list include technology-based fitness training company Body20 (No. 27), obstacle course arena company Ninja Nation (No. 45), in-home and online personal training company Send Me a Trainer (No. 58), children’s fitness brand Little Land (No. 77), cryotherapy company iCryo (No. 89), and IV therapy wellness brands DripBar (No. 100), Hydrate IV Bar (No. 146).
