Where are you from and where do you currently live?
I’m from Salt Lake City, Utah and currently live in Orange County, California.
How long have you been teaching and what are some of your certifications?
I have been teaching for 4.5 years now. My certifications include a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a 50-hour Specialty Teacher Training.
Why did you start teaching fitness?
I started getting involved in teaching because as a former gymnast, I fell in love with the physical movement of yoga. I began to feel the mental benefits and wanted to share that passion with others. After that discovery, I soon began my teacher training.
What are 5 essential items you keep in your gym bag?
Chapstick, yoga towel, water bottle, headphones and hair elastics.
What is your favorite workout to do and why?
I love to plug in my headphones and do a yoga flow that is not choreographed, just listening to my body and moving toward sensations. Also, I always love a good cycle class.
What is your favorite piece of workout equipment?
Definitely a yoga mat.
What is your favorite exercise to do at the gym?
It would have to be the Stair Master.
What is your go-to breakfast to start the day off on the right foot?
Oatmeal and a piece of toast.
Who is your favorite music to work out to?
For artists, I normally resort to Rihanna, Drake and Pearl Jam.
What do you like to do in your spare time for fun?
I love playing with my kids at the beach.
If you weren't a fitness professional, what would your dream job be?
My dream job would be an ESPN Sports Journalist.
